I’m back. On a Saturday. It looks like I’m going to publish on Saturdays from now on. I just don’t have time to publish on Fridays now that I’m working full-time as a reporter for Payments Dive.
What Even is a Reporter’s Notebook?
I mean, besides a notebook with the spiral on top?
I dunno.
I first came across the term when reading The New York Times. No one explained what it was though. I tried googling for a definition but came up empty. Here, I’m using the term to mean a behind-the-scenes peek at how I, as a journalist, do my job.
What Even is a Dive Brief?
It’s the signature article format for my employer. Three bullet points up top and some text underneath. It’s meant for CEO-types who read all their emails on their phone while they’re in meetings.
It’s also the format of my first piece as a business journalist! That’s right. Ya boy is published. No turning back now:
